Organic Witch Hazel astringent is extracted through distillation of the bark and leaves of the Hamamelis Virginiana shrub, which is the scientific name of Witch Hazel.

The extract has medium viscosity and is clear and colorless like water. Unlike its commercial version with strong smell, Organic Witch Hazel has a very subtle herbaceous scent, with a bit of woody edge.

Uses

Excellent astringent, Witch Hazel astringent contains high concentrations of tannis. Tannis can regulate the skin’s oil production and shrink pores that can lead to breakouts.
Mildly styptic and with a slight cooling effect makes this extract a great toner as well as an ideal ingredient for after-shave products.
