Laundry Week With Essential Oils | Day 2

Posted by Zongle Therapeutics on

Welcome to the Wellness Feed guys.

It's DAY #2 in the Laundry Essential Week and today we're talking about a TIP. We'll be sharing how you can get rid of Odors & Dirt That Haunt Your Front Loader Washer.

Front-loading washers are prone to hold odors coming from residue from clothes, the detergents used, and other chemicals involved. Due to improper usage and cleaning the bacteria multiplies inside of the loader. The situation goes worst in summers where this bacterium grows into molds and damages not only the functionality of the machine but also transfers to your laundry. So, when you wear those infected pieces, it meets your skin and may cause rashes. To keep your laundry fresh and disinfected you should disinfect your front loader from these bacteria too. For which Essential Oils are simply the BEST ORGANIC option to go for.

Laundry Week With Essential Oils | Day 2

MATERIALS NEEDED:

  • 2 cups baking soda
  • 1 cup of water
  • 10 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil
  • 10 drops USDA Certified Organic Lemon Essential Oil
  • Non-Scratch Scrubber/Wiper Sponge
  • Small Brush

RECIPE:

  • Make a paste of all the ingredients.
  • Add Essential Oils in the end.

USAGE:

👉 Take this paste on the sponge and apply it to the rubber seal and remove visible stains.

👉 Take the paste on a small brush to clean tight spaces and crevices that are hard to reach yet prone to developing bacteria.

👉 Wipe down the interior part of your drum with the mixture but do not rinse.

👉 Now run the normal load on the hottest setting with sanitizer mode on (if you've one).

👉 Stop the washer before the rinse cycle and let the water sit for 1 hour.

👉 Once the load is finished, drain all water. Remove the detergent tray and wipe it off with warm soapy water.

👉 Add 1 Cup Vinegar to the detergent container and run another load on a hot rinse setting.

👉 Wipe and you're done!

👉 Store remaining paste in an airtight glass container.

Wooooof long process! And that's why you need to make a habit of doing it occasionally. Quarterly should suffice 🤩
